The Alpha Course On God TV
The Alpha Course has touched the lives of millions of people across the world. Developed at Holy Trinity Brompton over the last 20 years, Alpha is aimed at people who don't go to church, offering a practical introduction to the Christian faith.
According to statistics compiled by the Christian Research Organisation, more than 1.3 million people in the UK have already completed the Alpha Course.
It is one of the most widely-known Christian initiatives in this country, with 7.4 million people - nearly one in six British adults - identifying it as a Christian course, according to the polling organisation, MORI.
The Alpha Course has swept Europe, Africa and the USA and is now in 130 countries. Alpha is currently running in 24,178 places around the world and now is coming into your home!

The Alpha Course Takes To The TV/ Internet
Good news for satellite TV viewers is that the internationally acclaimed Alpha Course is to be screened on Sky Digital in February 2003. Internet viewers will also be able to watch the Alpha Course on God TV @ streamingfaith.com.
Satellite TV viewers will be able to watch it on the GOD Channel (Sky 671) at 20:30 (GMT) on Friday evenings from 7 February 2003.
The Alpha TV series, which will run for 15 weeks, follows the same format as the 24,178 Alpha groups running world-wide, helping viewers to explore the meaning of life. The screening of the complete Alpha Course follows the success of an ITV 10-part documentary hosted by Sir David Frost, who described it as "a
phenomenon - an extraordinary story".

How Can I Make The Most Of The Rest Of My Life?
Presented by Reverend Nicky Gumbel, the Alpha series on the GOD Channel kicks off with "Christianity: Boring, Untrue and Irrelevant?" and includes such questions as "How can I make the most of the rest of my life?"
"We have heard so many wonderful stories of people whose lives have been changed through Alpha in churches of all denominations", said Reverend Gumbel. "I'm delighted the course is to be broadcast on the GOD Channel. It is a partnership which I believe will give many more people the opportunity to explore the meaning of life."
Starting on the 7th February 2003, many more people will be able to benefit from the course through the GOD Channel, which is carried free-to-air on nine satellites and can be seen in 199 countries.
