Listen to a journey of faith From Dreamer To Prince, the story of Joseph is a six-track keyboard composition that expresses the thoughts and feelings of the Scriptures from the composer's heart. Stephen Owen Davis is a talented artist who relies upon inspiration to put to music his thoughts and feelings. Follow Joseph from his emotional upheaval, to the dreamer being reunited with his father. Raised in Texas, Stephen is now a father of four. He has served his country as an infantryman; and the Lord as a missionary. Throughout his life, he learned many life lessons that would affect his music and bring a depth of meaning to every story which is told. |

What do you want your listeners to experience? I want my listeners to experience our Heavenly Father through my music. I wish for them "the peace that surpasses all understanding" Philippians 4:7. Sometimes music has other purposes than peace and tranquillity. Sometimes it's purpose is to stir the soul, and to help you feel the love of God. Sometimes it is to draw you into repentance. All of my Christian music tells a story. It is almost like another language. Each sound, each note is a word in an intricate tale. With each musical piece I compose, I include its translation. |

Have you ever been in grave danger? The greatest things I learned from my relationship with Christ are trust and faith in Him. When I was fighting in Vietnam, I always knew that I was being watched over and protected. I was a Sergeant, and in charge of other men's lives. I prayed for them every night and before every mission. I never lost a single man over whom I had charge, and we were daily under direct fire. I was nicknamed "Sergeant bullet proof." One day I lay with an enemy grenade on my chest, and I finally prayed for myself and my own safety. I began to crawl quickly away and I heard it go off right by my foot. My last thought as I lost consciousness was that God had finally not answered a prayer whilst in battle, but I was wrong. My helmet had fallen off as I crawled away, and it took the brunt of the blast. They all thought I was dead and so they carried me off the battlefield. As they carried me away they realised I was still alive, they were so surprised that they dropped me on the ground! I learned that day an even deeper faith in answered prayer. Not every prayer is answered as we would want, but the Lord answers them according to our needs. It is up to us as His children to learn to listen to Him. |

Why did you choose Joseph’s story? I chose Joseph for a subject because his story has always been one of my favourite Old Testament stories. As a young boy, he was a dreamer of dreams. He had confidence in those dreams, then he learned that it was God's way of communicating with him. Through all of his obstacles, he never gave up on his belief and faith in the Lord. These trials, like many we face today, developed patience in Joseph. |

What is the vision when you produce Christian music? My vision for my ministry is for the music I compose through inspiration from the Spirit, to touch the hearts of suffering souls and lead them to Jesus Christ our Saviour. |
