A Word for the Body of Christ This is what the sovereign Lord says: “To those who are truly alert, watching and waiting at the door, you will have noticed that many of the spiritual fathers of your generation have departed from among you. Be encouraged I say, for I am raising up new fathers that the hearts and minds of My children will turn to. They have already gone ahead of you to prepare the way like John did for Me. When you hear their voices, listen to them for they have seen the pitfalls and the dangers that lie ahead. But also they have experienced them and will warn you of the same. Yes, indeed you are a most privileged generation, but there is a cost and a cross to bear daily; be of good cheer for I have overcome and so shall you. Draw near to Me and I shall draw near to you. Test all things in this hour against My word for I have said, ‘you shall know them by their fruit.’ Look for the fruit and you need not be deceived; for there will be false prophets and tares among you, and in places you did not expect to find them, so be on your guard at all times.” Michael Backholer, Wednesday 25th January 2006.
