Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne on February 6, 1952 upon the death of her father, King George VI. Her Coronation followed on June 2, 1953.
After 50 years of faithful service to Britain, and the Commonwealth we still pray for her. If anyone asks what it means to be British, then you'll get two replies around the world: 'The Queen' and 'Tea'! The nations of the world love her, and many think she has been a loyal servant to our nation, leading by example, and holding close to her faith in Christ.
"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for Kings, and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence." 1 Timothy 2:1-2.
