Learning how to swim is a struggle for many people. I remember watching an adult once, trying to swim and stay afloat.
He just couldn't stay on the surface despite his constant efforts. He was destined to be a sinker!
Then along came a new swimming instructor, a teen, who understood float-challenged individuals and she modelled a simple truth.
In a calm yet assuring voice the teacher stood next to this person and explained the simple reality about bodies in
water. "You first need to learn how to float, and that," she said, "Is as simple as relaxing every part of your body,
including your mind." So for the next half hour, the teacher and the student persisted at learning this simple yet
essential skill in water survival.
Have you learnt the skill of floating? Resting in God for everything in life? We struggle as humans to learn this.
"It is He who will supply all your needs from His riches in glory, because of what Christ Jesus has done
for us." Philippians 4:19.
