The God Channel The GOD Channel has launched on Telewest Broadband's digital TV platform, adding over 887,000 potential new homes for the UK's premier Christian TV Channel. For almost a decade GOD TV has paved the way for Christian television in the UK, primarily on Satellite TV. But from 21st July Telewest Broadband has added the GOD Channel 24-hours-a-day as part of their digital essential package on channel 279. Viewers can enjoy a healthy diet of free Christian entertainment, including cutting edge news & magazine shows, Bible teaching, the latest Gospel music releases and dedicated youth & children's programmes. "We are delighted that so many more viewers throughout the UK will be able to watch the GOD Channel through Telewest Broadband," said Rory Alec, GOD TV Chief Executive. He added: "We are already on cable in the UK as a premium option on NTL, but now being on Telewest Broadband's digital essential package opens doors for us to be carried on the mainstream packages of other cable operators as well. This is a major breakthrough for GOD TV." Philip Snalune, director of TV services at Telewest Broadband, said: "Telewest Broadband is committed to offering customers a growing range of interesting and innovative content at the best possible prices . We're delighted to add the GOD Channel to our current line up." The GOD Channel can also be seen on NTL UK covering a potential 1.2 million homes as well as on NTL Ireland covering over 50 000 Irish households in Dublin and surrounds, significantly increasing the GOD TV's European reach.
