An Ossuary, the ancient limestone burial box containing bones could have been the earliest archaeological reference to
Jesus Christ that has ever been discovered. It was apparently ‘found’ in 2001 and bears and inscription reading in the Aramaic
language ‘James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus’.
The Ossuary burials were only practised by Jews between 20 BC and AD70. It was made with a special writing style and
the limestone was thought to have been traced back to Jerusalem. After much examination and investigation the ossuary was found to be a fake.
Many were saddened to find out that the Ossuary was a fake and a criminal investigation followed.
