Tithing Protects Oneself Many believe they have given their lives to God, and yet will never give Him a tithe. It shows how shallow our commitments can be. If we are trusting our finances to God, we must give Him our tithe, it is His.

The Bible states clearly that if we refuse to tithe, we are stealing from God. 'Yet you have robbed me!..In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse' Malachi 3:8-9. Being in debt is a financial curse. To see it broken you must tithe.

The Scriptures show us that when we tithe the devourer will be rebuked. Have you every wondered why the so many items are going wrong? The car, the TV, the washing machine? Why do I always miss the promotion?

God says, 'And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground. Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field' Malachi 3:11.

The tithe, which is 10% of our income, belongs to God, and usually it goes to the church where you fellowship - unless you have a clear word from God to do otherwise. God may also tell you to support a missionary or ministry.

Remember we have to be wise stewards. Your money is a financial seed for the future. If you sow into bad spiritual ground, don’t be surprised if you receive little or no harvest! Ask yourself this question, “Is the financial seed that I am sowing, going into good ground, where I can see real spiritual fruit? Are people being converted, helped and brought into discipleship?”
