So you have been hurt, and cannot forgive - it has happened to us all. You're unhappy and the person who has hurt you is ok.
Do you realise that when you forgive, you help yourself! How can that be? Well, you know those feelings of hate,
bitterness, and resentment? When you forgive they will go, and you can experience the peace of God.
Jesus showed us that He forgave us loads more than we ever have to forgive anyone else. So because of that, we must
forgive and if we do not, we will be tortured inside by all those bad thoughts and feelings, read Matthew 18:23-35.
On the cross Jesus forgave everyone, even those people who crucified Him. They were not sorry and did not repent
(repenting- seeing the wrong and changing to do good).
The Apostle Paul said that we are to forgive in order to keep Satan from getting an advantage over us, 2 Corinthians 2:
10-11. If you try to get revenge, you stopping God from helping and healing you and Satan enjoys seeing you in pain.
