A survey of 1005 drivers from a UK insurance company found that less than one in 100 male drivers obeys speed
limits and only 3 per cent of women always conform to them.
As many as 98 per cent of men and women drivers admit to regularly driving over the speed limit. Yet it was not speeding
drivers who were the main concern of motorists. 38 % of women and 22 % of men said that allowing children to be driven
without seatbelts was the worst driving offence they had seen.
Dangerous driving, using mobile phones and road rage were also concerns of those surveyed.
