New Zealand has a population of around 3.8 million people. The believers of this nation have given specifically towards
world mission and New Zealand is the fourth largest mission sending nation (per head of Christian population).
The Christian youth of New Zealand are reaping the benefits of the charismatic outpourings of the Holy Spirit from
the sixties onwards. Many new charismatic congregations were born and mainline denominations became more evangelical.
Today the Christian youth have a challenge to reach New Zealand in these days of fast secularisation. Around 14% of the
population attend church and specific Christian youth outreaches and music festivals, like ‘Parachute’, are growing in popularity.
New Zealand needs a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit to revive the people and restore the church to cutting-edge
discipleship and it is the Christian youth who have a challenge to pray this into being!
